5/21/07 — Linking Struggles

This issue steps outside the Northwest and brings voices from the Bay Area and New Orleans together.

From San Francisco we will hear voices from a rally in support of Mumia Abu-Jamal.

From Oakland we will hear an interview with members of the Oakland Education Association who helped stage picket outside the Port of Oakland by Ryan Tompkins. Then we will hear interviews by DJ Questionmark with members of the International Longshore and Warehouse Union who recognized the picket line.

From New Orleans we will hear an interview by Karynne Rayner with Robert “Kool Black” Horton of Critical Resistance.

Plus Music by Brenna Sahatjian of the RiotFolk Collective.
