3/12/07 — On Occupied Palestine

This issue contains talks by Palestinians, Palestinian Americans and American activists on the illegal occupation Palestine by the Israeli government.

Friday March 16th marks the four year anniversary of the death of American activist and International Solidarity Movement member Rachel Corrie. Rachel was killed in Gaza, Palestine while defending a Palestinian home against illegal demolition by Israeli bulldozers.

In this issue you will hear:

*Amin Odeh of the Arab American Community Coalition speaking at The Evergreen State College during the S.E.S.A.M.E (Students Educating Students About the Middle East) film festival.

*Rochelle Gause (ISM Member), Feryal Abu Haikal (Palestinian teacher), Mohammed Khatib (Palestinian activist) and Cindy Corrie (Rachel Corrie’s mother) speaking at a forum on the apartheid system in Palestine.

*Phan Nguyen, ISM member and activist speaking after a screening of the film “Democracy Isn’t Built on Demonstrators Bodies” also at the SESAME film festival.
